We’re less than four weeks away from election night, and all signs are pointing to a win for Hillary Clinton. The RealClearPolitics polling average have Clinton up by 5.3 points in the 4-way election, and ahead by 6.7 in the 2-way race. This is a lead that will be difficult if not impossible to overcome at this point in the season for any election, let alone the one playing out right now.
Many are declaring that while we may have thought there was a floor for the quality of discourse in this election when we were talking about banning Muslims, building walls, deplorables or whether it’s okay to criticize Gold Star families we have undoubtedly hit a new low. I agree. And with just over three weeks left until election day, we may go lower.
