Liberal witch hunt against Trump is helping, not hurting him

The media and the Left are going all-in attacking Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who committed the sin of saying something that upset them when he was discussing illegal Mexican immigrants.

A presidential candidate refusing to be PC? Nah, can’t have that. The Hispanic network Univision and NBC have both tried to trump Trump because they say his comments were too harsh. The outrage community (what conservatives call Social Justice Warriors or SJWs) wasn’t far behind.

It’s all part of the Modern American Witch Hunt that consumes the news media in one enormous comb-over of our past. (Sorry, Donald.) SJWs who decry bullying anyone except conservatives spend more time persecuting nonbelievers than Soviets did Gulag-ing dissenters. The SJWs want a safe space free of flags, statues, monuments, gravesites, the Ten Commandments, sports team names and toy cars.

Their unity shows. Univision’s President of Programming and Content Alberto Ciurana compared Trump to accused racist murderer Dylann Roof. Ciurana posted a photo of Trump and another of Roof next to one another under the headline “No Comments,” which was comment enough for bias, not for discipline.

Ordinary humans would have crumbled under this onslaught by now. Trump seems to be just getting warmed up.

Univision didn’t bother to tell Ciurana he couldn’t compare presidential candidates to accused mass murderers. That’s because mass murderer is a step down; his own boss compares his enemies to Nazis. Univision News President and Fusion CEO Isaac Lee said of his own network’s lack of neutrality that liberal anchor Jorge Ramos is “going to ask the person whatever is necessary to push the agenda for a more fair society.”

Soon after the Univision dust-up, NBC cut connections to Trump and canceled plans to run the Miss USA Pageant, another Trump operation. “Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump,” NBC’s hypocritical statement said.

This is the same outlet that tolerates race-baiting Al Sharpton, who made his “career” off of a false rape claim. Of course, NBC is so honorable that it let anchor Brian Williams lie repeatedly and keep a job – just on little-watched MSNBC. Maybe he can join Sharpton in a game of Liar’s Poker between shows. They’ll like it. There’s no trump.

After NBC, the controversy really caught fire. Macy’s literally cut ties with Trump, dropping his popular line of ties and other attire. Rapper Flo Rida canceled his scheduled performance at Miss USA. Star Trek actor George Takei, who made a career of pushing phony buttons on the Enterprise set and now pushes them in politics, bashed Trump for his “traditional” view of marriage.

Fox News Latino’s Rick Sanchez summed up Hispanic reaction: “Donald Trump has single-handedly united Latinos from coast to coast.” I don’t doubt it. After all, many of them watch Univision or NBC.

Ordinary humans would have crumbled under this onslaught by now. Trump seems to be just getting warmed up. He even got kudos from Rush Limbaugh for fighting back. Fight he did. The Donald bashed “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd for having a “tremendous bias.” Todd tweeted out what appeared to be a snarky response: “In sports and politics, when athletes/candidates are complaining about the refs, it usually means they are losing. And it is NEVER becoming.”

Only the left-wing Todd is pretending to be a “ref.” His wife is more honest, but no one talks about her. Let’s. Kristian Denny Todd is also “helping and advising” Democrat Sen. Jim Webb as he considers a run for president. Webb got a softball interview sans witch hunt from hubby Chuck back in October.

There’s more. Kristian Denny Todd “consults with progressive groups and causes including the ONE Campaign, VoteVets and the North Carolina Democratic Party.” That’s from her bio on the Earth Institute Management Advisory Board at Columbia University. Liberal billionaire George Soros sits on the group’s External Advisory Board. His Open Society Foundations have given more than $11.3 million to Columbia University since 2000.

Journalists aren’t refs, they lead the witch hunts. Journalists destroyed Dan Quayle for misspelling potato and think Obama is brilliant despite bungling the word “respect” and claiming the U.S. has 57 states.

The difference is this witch hunt is enhancing Trump’s fan base. He’s currently running second in both New Hampshire and Iowa polls. Despite Trump’s less-than-conservative background, right wingers like a politician that won’t surrender to another Borking.

If journalists aren’t careful, this witch hunt might end with Trump dropping a house on the Dorothys of the news media.
